Finding Balance in the Digital World
I started my TikTok account back in 2021, but it wasn’t until 2022 that I really stepped into the role of a creator. At first, I focused on trends—fun, lighthearted videos that let me express myself creatively. Over time, though, my content evolved. Now, I focus on making relatable posts, sharing motivational messages, and giving life updates.
Some of my videos bring awareness to the abuse I’ve experienced in my marriage. Speaking out has been both painful and empowering. Sometimes I use humor as a way to cope and reclaim my voice, especially when it comes to situations that once made me feel powerless.
Lately, I’ve noticed how deeply connected I’ve become to the online world. It’s not just social media to me—it’s been a lifeline. During some of the hardest times, it’s how I stayed safe and how my mother was able to find me when I needed help most.
Still, I can feel the weight of that constant connection. I’m trying to figure out how to create balance—how to protect the safety net I’ve built online without losing touch with myself offline.
What does that balance even look like? How do I stay safe and grounded in both worlds?
